- To increase awareness of the importance of workforce development in the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS)
- To develop the capacity of VCS organisations as training providers
- To access funding for VCS workforce development and for training provision by VCS organisations for the community
- To create a resource base for VCS training & development in Hertfordshire
- To influence policy and practice in support of training & development for and by VCS organisations
