VCS Change Agents Pilot Programme
Hertfordshite Training and Development Consortium (HTDC)working in partnership with Hertfordshire Adult and Family Services (HAFLS) secured funding from the Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS). The pilot project was awarded as part of the Regional Innovation in Teaching and Learning Fund.
The pilot project was delivered between April - June 2012.

Children's Workforce Development 2011-12

EEDA Financial Capability Project
HTDC was one of the delivery partners for the EEDA Financial Capability Project led by Citizens Advice in the East of England. Our role was:
- To provide financial capability training for staff and volunteers working in frontline organisations
- To develop and lead the Hertfordshire Financial Capability Forum

Working With Offenders Training
HTDC worked with Hertfordshire Probation Trust to develop a
capacity-building programme for voluntary sector organisations
interested in working with offenders. A total of 79 attendees from a very wide range of third sector organisations benefited from these courses which had extremely positive evaluations.
As part of our on-going partnership, HTDC and Hertfordshire Probation Trust are interested in collating
information on organisations working with offenders in Hertfordshire. If you would be

Routes to Work
Routes to Work was managed by Hertfordshire Training & Development Consortium and funded by the East of England Development Agency (EEDA) via Hertfordshire County Council’s Economic Participation Programme. Targeted at one of Hertfordshire’s key economic priorities – reducing the number of people on out of work benefits – the project was to help individuals who were unemployed or at risk of redundancy to get a job or with their skills development. The target was to assist over 500 people resident across all districts of Hertfordshire to benefit from programmes of advice, training, coaching and volunteering or work experience. These services were delivered between June 2009 – March 2010 by 12 partner organisations.

Learning Champions VCS Network
In November 2008, HTDC successfully submitted a proposal to COVER to undertake a pilot project funded by the Learning & Skills Council (LSC). The project was designed to support Train to Gain brokerage for the Third Sector. The key aspects of HTDC’s project were:
- The delivery was conducted by qualified Learning Champions (LCs), all working for HTDC full member organisations
- At the start of the project period the LCs undertook the ESF-funded Learning Champions course
- The project started in January 2009 and completed in September 2009.
- The project involved the LCs providing a Learning Champions service to external organisations and being paid for the production of reports/outputs – Organisational Needs Analyses, Training Searches and Evaluations
- HTDC was responsible for the project management and the collation of findings
